Reach it in 1.5 hours from Passo Tre Croci (2,259m) via a rough trail, or 3.5 hours from Cortina d'Ampezzo via the same pass. The final approach is exposed and loose—approach shoes work but boots are safer.
The prefabricated hut holds 9 beds and can accommodate 9 more in an emergency shelter. There's no staffing in summer and no meals or water service. Water comes from snowmelt in the surrounding terrain during warm months. Winter access requires mountaineering skill; the hut remains open but offer no support. Use it as a base for technical climbing on nearby crags or as a transit point on alpine traverses.
