About
The prefabricated hut holds 9 beds and can accommodate 9 more in an emergency shelter. There's no staffing in summer and no meals or water service. Water comes from snowmelt in the surrounding terrain during warm months. Winter access requires mountaineering skill; the hut remains open but offer no support. Use it as a base for technical climbing on nearby crags or as a transit point on alpine traverses.
Book through rifugi.cai.it or email the managing CAI section. Summer weekends fill quickly from July onwards—reserve 4-6 weeks ahead. The hut operates year-round but prepare completely for winter visits: bring all food, fuel, and water, and check weather and snow conditions before committing.
