Rifugio Malga Ra Stua

Rifugio Malga Ra Stua sits at 1668m in the Dolomites near the Val di Fassa. The hut anchors the Sella Ronda circuit and sits roughly equidistant between Canazei and Campitello. From Canazei, allow 2.5 hours on foot via the Fedare route. From Campitello, it's a 2-hour climb. Both approaches gain steady altitude through pasture and mixed forest. The hut works equally well as an overnight stop or a lunch halt on a Sella Ronda lap.
Ra Stua holds around 50 beds in simple, functional rooms. The kitchen serves solid Dolomite fare: casunziei, speck, and seasonal game. The dining room overlooks the surrounding peaks. There's no WiFi here—bring a book or accept genuine quiet. The hut operates year-round, though staffing drops to weekends only November through April. A woodstove and basic bar keep guests warm in shoulder seasons.
