Refuge Predaia «ai Todes ci»

Rifugio Predaia sits at 1,400m in the Dolomites, reached from the village of Predaia in Veneto. Approach via the Val di Non valley floor, then climb steadily through woodland. The hut sits above the settlements, giving access to ridge walks and summit approaches across the northern Dolomites. Most hikers arrive in 2–3 hours from the roadhead depending on the exact starting point.

The rifugio is small—16 beds across shared rooms—and operates as a working mountain base rather than a resort. Half-board (dinner and breakfast) is standard; the kitchen serves straightforward mountain food. Water comes from the spring; toilets are basic. The hut opens year-round but verify conditions in winter. No electricity or wifi, though a phone works on the patio. A stove heats the main room.

Book direct by phone or email. Summer weekends (July–August) fill quickly; contact the keeper 2–3 weeks ahead for reliable space. Shoulder seasons (June, September) are less crowded. The hut is managed independently, not by CAI, so you cannot book through rifugi.net. Pay in cash or arrange transfer in advance.
