The hut is reached from Radovljica town (a 30-minute drive from Ljubljana) by hiking 2 hours up steep forest trails. Alternative approach: from Kranjska Gora via Klemencic col takes 4–5 hours. The location makes it a logical base for traversing Stol (1,471m) or pushing into the surrounding ridges toward Ojstrica. Access is year-round, though winter routes demand experience.
The lodge is managed by the PZS and sleeps 40 in mixed dormitories. It serves hot meals and has a small bar. Water comes from a spring. The hut has no shower or heating in rooms—bring warm layers. The building is solid and well-maintained. It opens year-round, though staffing is reduced outside July–August and weekends. In winter, confirm opening before traveling.
