Lodge na Uršlji Gori

Dom na Uršlji Gori stands at 1,670m in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, on the ridge between the Savinja Valley and the Prevalje area. The main approach is a 2.5-hour hike from Prevalje village; follow marked trails through beech forest to reach the hut. Several variants exist from nearby valleys, all well-marked by PZS signage. The location sits on a major ridge traverse route, making it a logical stop between multi-day tours of the range.
The hut holds around 40 beds in shared rooms and offers half-board and full-board meals. The kitchen provides hearty Slovenian fare suitable for mountain hiking. There's no WiFi, so plan accordingly. Water comes from a reliable spring. The hut is staffed year-round, though some winter weeks may operate on request only—confirm ahead if visiting November through March. Toilet facilities are basic but functional.
Book directly with Planinsko društvo Prevalje or through PZS. July and August require booking 4–6 weeks ahead. Shoulder seasons (May–June, September) fill less predictably but can still reach capacity on weekends. The hut is relatively quiet compared to Julian Alps huts, making it a good choice if you want fewer crowds. Email or phone ahead to confirm current staffing and meal availability, especially outside peak season.
