About
The lodge holds 40 beds across simple shared rooms. Half-board is standard (dinner and breakfast included). The kitchen serves traditional Slovenian mountain fare. Water runs from springs nearby; showers are available. The hut operates year-round but staffing is seasonal—check ahead for winter visits. This is working accommodation, not a resort. The building dates from the 1960s and feels lived-in rather than polished.
Contact the PZS or ring ahead before visiting. Book accommodation during peak season (June–September) and for all weekends. Solo walkers often find beds available mid-week. The hut fills quickly on summer Saturdays. Email or phone are fastest; online booking may not be available. Bring cash—some card payments fail in this location.
