Rudijev Lodge

Rudijev Dom sits at 589m in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, near Rogatec in eastern Slovenia. The hut anchors the lower reaches of the range, making it an accessible starting point for day hikes and multi-day traverses into higher terrain. Access is straightforward—reach Rogatec by road, then hike 1–2 hours depending on your route through forested foothills to the lodge. Most hikers use this hut as a base for exploring the Savinja Valley approaches to peaks like Vodiška Peca and Goutil.
Rudijev Dom is managed by PZS and the local hiking club PD "Sloga" Rogatec. The lodge has capacity for around 40 people and serves meals to both residents and day visitors. Showers are available—a practical advantage at this lower elevation where summer hikers often arrive warm. The hut operates year-round, though confirm opening times before visiting in winter or shoulder seasons, as staffing can be limited. Simple, straightforward accommodation typical of regional PZS huts.
