Alp Da Segl

Alp da Segl sits at 2,237m in the Albula Alps, roughly 6km south of Bergün in Graubünden. The hut is a long day's walk from the valley: allow 4 to 4.5 hours from Bergün via the Alp Flix plateau, or 5 hours from Filisur. The terrain is mixed—forest trails give way to open alpine meadows with steady elevation gain. This is proper hiking country, not a casual stroll. The hut works well as a base for exploring the eastern Albula region or as a waypoint on longer ridge traverses toward the Piz Albris massif.
The hut is small and basic, sleeping around 30 guests in dormitory rooms. Meals are hearty mountain fare: expect vegetable soups, pasta dishes, and good coffee. The kitchen will prepare packed lunches if you order ahead. Water comes from a spring. There are no showers, but you'll find a washroom with sinks. The hut operates year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions and avalanche risk. Check conditions directly before visiting in December through March. Staff can advise on local routes and weather.
