Älpli
3.1About
The hut has 16 beds across simple shared rooms. Meals are solid mountain fare—hearty soups, schnitzel, local cheeses. Breakfast and dinner are standard. There's no WiFi (pack accordingly). The outhouse is basic but functional. The hut operates year-round, though winter conditions on approach routes demand experience. Water comes from a spring. LAV members get a small discount on overnight rates.
Book directly with the guardian (Hüttenwart) in summer. July and August fill quickly on weekends—aim for 3–4 weeks ahead. Shoulder seasons (May–June, September) rarely need advance booking unless a large group is coming. Winter stays require a phone call to confirm access and avalanche conditions. The hut can provide half-board or bed-only rates. Bring cash; card payment options are limited.
