The hut is managed by the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) and has 38 beds split across dormitories. The kitchen serves dinner and breakfast; bring your own lunch or order packed meals the night before. Drinking water comes from the tap. The hut stays open late June through September, with occasional weekend access in shoulder months—check ahead. Toilets are outside; expect basic alpine conditions.
Book directly by email or phone at least 6 weeks ahead for July and August weekends. July and August weekends fill quickly; aim for weekday visits if possible. The hut gets busy with trekkers on the Septimer and Lukmanier passes. Phone ahead if you're arriving late. Payment is by cash or bank transfer; confirm payment method when you book.
