Chamanna Pradatsch
3.9About
The refuge holds about 80 places in dormitory rooms. Meals are available daily during season—expect hearty pasta and local cheeses. The kitchen can accommodate special diets if you book ahead. Water comes from the mountain spring. The hut operates year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions and avalanche risk. The SAT (South Tyrolean Alpine Club) manages the facility.
Book directly with the hut at least 4 weeks ahead for July and August. In shoulder seasons (June, September), 2 weeks' notice is usually enough. The hut fills quickly on weekends during summer, so avoid Friday arrivals without a reservation. Contact them by phone or email—they respond reliably to email in English and Italian. Winter visits require confirmation that the hut is staffed and accessible.
