Refuge Campione

Rifugio Campione sits at 1,946m in the Ticino Alps, on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Reach it from the village of Rodi-Fiesso via a hiking trail that takes roughly 3 hours. The hut lies on the route between Robiei and Basòdino, making it a natural stopping point for multi-day traverse hikers crossing the southern Alps.
The refuge has 16 beds spread across simple rooms. It serves meals to both overnight guests and day hikers passing through. Basic facilities include a kitchen and dining area. The hut operates seasonally during the hiking season, typically June through September, though this varies year to year depending on snow melt and access conditions. Water comes from mountain sources nearby.
