About
The shelter is modest—typical SAC (CAS/CAI/CAS) alpine hut with dormitory beds, basic heating, and water from the nearby stream. It's open year-round but fully staffed and provisioned from June to September. During winter and shoulder seasons, a locked hut box with emergency supplies remains accessible. The guardian provides simple hot meals and drinks in summer; bring a stove and fuel if visiting outside the season. Expect no frills and cold nights in unheated sections.
Book through the official SAC website or contact the guardian directly. July and August fill quickly; reserve 4–6 weeks ahead for those months. June and September have more flexibility. Winter visits require self-sufficiency and knowledge of current conditions. The hut is non-serviced from October to May, so confirm access before going.
