Baita del Luca
2.9About
The hut is a small, traditional stone building with 16 beds across mixed dormitories. The CAS Sezione Ticino manages it as a working base for hikers and mountaineers exploring the granite peaks and ridges of the region. Meals are available: the keeper prepares simple dinners and serves breakfast. There is no shower. The hut operates year-round, though conditions at this elevation mean winter visits require serious experience. Summer months (June to September) are reliably snow-free.
Book directly with the hut keeper—contact details are available through the CAS Ticino website or alpine-huts.com. July and August fill quickly; book 3–4 months ahead for these months. Winter climbing season (December to March) is less predictable but also less busy. Phone ahead if weather looks uncertain, as the hut keeper may close for maintenance or poor conditions.
