Refuge CAI Fantoli

Rifugio CAI Fantoli sits at 2,050m in the Ticino Alps, above the Val Leventina. The hut lies on the route between Passo della Nara and Pizzo Prela. From Rodi-Fibbiamino (reachable by PostBus), the walk up takes roughly 3.5 hours on a well-marked trail through larch forest and alpine meadow. The approach is steep but straightforward, with no scrambling required.
The refuge offers 18 beds across simple dormitory rooms and provides hot meals in the evening and breakfast. Water comes from a spring. The hut operates May through October, with weekends busier than weekdays throughout the season. There is no shower. The building sits well-positioned for day walks into the surrounding peaks, particularly toward Pizzo Prela (2,667m) and the ridges eastward.
