Vetta Monte Lema sits at 1,550m on the summit plateau of Monte Lema in Ticino's Lepontine Alps. The approach from Paese di Rasa takes 1.5 hours on foot, ascending 400m through mixed woodland. You can also access it via cable car from Rasa (20 minutes) if the hiking doesn't appeal. The hut commands views across the southern Alps toward Italy and the Ticino valleys below.
The refuge operates as both restaurant and simple hostel, with 55 beds across 12 private rooms plus dormitory space. The kitchen serves Italian and Ticinese cuisine at lunch and dinner.
