Reach it from the village of Adnet in 90 minutes on foot via the Lehental valley, or from Bad Vigaun via the longer Buchauer Alm route. The hut is a simple mountain dairy operation (Sennalm) run by the OeAV, offering basic accommodation in a traditional wooden building. It sleeps around 25 people in shared dormitory rooms. Meals focus on hearty alpine fare—the hut makes its own butter and cheese from summer grazing cattle. Full board is standard rather than the exception. The hut operates mid-June to mid-September only, closing for winter and spring when cattle haven't yet moved to summer pasture. Water comes from mountain springs. Toilets are basic but functional.
