Erinnerungshütte

The Erinnerungshütte sits at 2,083m in the Tyrol, serving as a base for hiking and mountaineering in the surrounding peaks. Access is by foot from the valley—expect 3–4 hours of hiking depending on your approach route and fitness. The hut lies on or near established Alpine trails, making it reachable for experienced hikers in summer conditions. Winter access is unreliable and depends on snow cover and avalanche stability.
This is a small, traditional hut with 10 beds total. There is no piped drinking water—you must collect snow or meltwater. There are no flush toilets, only a pit toilet or similar basic facilities. The hut serves meals and drinks if the guardian is present; book meals in advance when you reserve beds. It operates seasonally, typically June through September, though exact opening dates vary by year. Call ahead to confirm the current season and guardian availability.
Book directly with the hut keeper as early as possible. Contact details may be available through the Austrian Alpine Club (OeAV) or local Tyrolean hiking information centres. July and August fill quickly; book at least 4–6 weeks ahead for these months. June and September offer more flexibility. Bring your own water container and be prepared for basic conditions.
