Gaislachalm
3.7About
The hut operates year-round and offers around 60 beds in shared rooms. Meals focus on hearty mountain fare—schnitzel, spätzle, traditional soups—sourced partly from local suppliers. Full half-board is standard; the hut also serves à la carte lunch to day-hikers. Facilities include basic shower access and a dining room with wood stove. Mobile signal is unreliable; plan accordingly. Winter visitors should check conditions and avalanche forecasts before setting out, as the upper approach can steepen after heavy snow.
Book directly by phone or email at least 4 weeks ahead for summer weekends and all of July and August. The hut fills with families during school holidays and with hikers tackling longer valley-crossing routes. May, June, and September are quieter. The hut closes briefly in late November and again in April for maintenance.
