Klammalm
2.0About
Klammalm is a working alpine farm and modest hut managed by the local community. It offers basic accommodation in dorm beds and simple private rooms for 30–40 guests total. Meals consist of hearty mountain food: schnitzel, spaetzle, soups, and fresh dairy products from the farm. Water comes from the spring on site. The hut operates year-round but is busiest June through September. Winter access is possible but requires snow gear and experience with avalanche terrain.
Book directly by phone or email with the hut keeper well ahead during summer months—weekends fill quickly. Expect to pay around €40–50 for a dorm bed including dinner and breakfast. The hut does not accept online reservations through major platforms. Come with cash; card payments are unreliable at this remote location. July and August demand booking 4–6 weeks in advance.
