Neumayr-Hut

The Neumayr-Hütte sits at 1202m in the Zillertal, a major valley hiking corridor in Tyrol. The hut serves as a base for day walks and multi-day tours through the surrounding limestone terrain. Access is straightforward: park at Mayrhofen or Finkenberg and walk roughly 2–3 hours following marked trails up the valley. The approach is steady rather than steep, making this a realistic option after early starts or late arrivals.

The hut holds 39 beds in shared rooms and offers half-board accommodation (overnight plus breakfast and dinner). Meals focus on Austrian Alpine standards—hearty and fuel-focused rather than fancy. The kitchen provides packed lunches on request. Amenities include a bar, drying room for boots and gear, and showers. The hut operates year-round with seasonal staff changes; confirm opening dates if planning shoulder-season visits. Altitude is low enough that late autumn and early spring offer reliable access when higher huts remain snowbound.
