About
Potsdamer Hütte is managed by the Austrian Alpine Club (OeAV) and has 60 beds in shared dorms. Half-board meals (dinner and breakfast) are standard; packed lunches available. The hut has showers and flush toilets—basic comfort for a mountain hut at this elevation. No WiFi. It operates year-round but expect skeleton staff in shoulder seasons. Late June to early September is the main season for hiking traffic.
Book directly with the hut by email or phone. July and August weekends fill 4-8 weeks ahead. June and September are more flexible; weekdays rarely require advance notice outside peak season. Single night stays are accepted but less preferred than multi-night bookings. Confirm your arrival time when booking if arriving after 5 PM.
