Ramolhaus

Ramolhaus sits at 3,006m in the Zillertal Alps, accessible from the Zillertal valley via the Zemmbach. The main approach follows the Zemmbach trail for roughly 5–6 hours from Mayrhofen. You can also approach from Ginzling via Dornau (7–8 hours). The hut lies on the eastern ridge of the Zemmbach valley, making it a solid base for traverses across the northern Zillertal Alps and ascents of peaks like Hochziller and Hochfeiler.
The hut holds 80 beds across dormitory and smaller group rooms. The DAV Sektion Hamburg maintains it as a summer-only refuge, typically open from mid-June to mid-September. Meals include breakfast and dinner; the kitchen also handles packed lunches. Showers are available. WiFi coverage works reliably at the hut despite the altitude and remote location. Water comes from springs and snow melt. The hut staff can arrange porter service for heavy loads on approach trails.
