Siglhütte

Siglhütte sits at 1,334m in the Benediktenwand massif, roughly 80km south of Munich. Reach it from the village of Bad Tölz on a 3-hour hike via the Siglbach valley. The route gains 700m steadily through forest and Alpine meadow. In winter, approach via Hörndlwald or across the Benediktenwand plateau if you have winter mountaineering skills. The hut sits well-positioned for routes on the Benediktenwand (1,801m) and ascents toward the Sachranger Alm.
The DAV Sektion München und Oberland runs this small, basic hut with 14 beds across simple rooms. Meals are available: expect hearty Alpine cooking rather than fine dining. Water comes from a spring; the hut has no shower. Open year-round, though winter access requires mountain experience and avalanche awareness. It functions as a working base for climbers tackling the Benediktenwand and longer ridge traverses, not a destination in itself.
