The location sits far enough inside the range that you won't share your ridge time with casual hikers.
The OeAV manages this hut. It offers 40 beds across several rooms and a warm common area. Meals are straightforward: dinner, breakfast, and snacks available. The kitchen can handle basic dietary needs if you notify them ahead. Water comes from a spring on the property. There's no shower, though you can wash. The hut stays open roughly May through October, though confirm dates before you plan—this is mountain terrain where snow lingers into late spring. Phone service is unreliable; check coverage before relying on it.
