About
The rifugio offers around 20 beds in simple rooms and a small dining area serving traditional mountain fare. The kitchen prepares hearty polenta, pasta, and local cheeses. Water comes from a spring. The hut runs year-round but verify conditions before winter visits, as snow and weather dictate staffing. There is no electricity from the grid; the hut uses generators and natural light.
Contact the keeper directly by phone or email to book. Weekends fill in summer and early autumn, especially July and August. Book at least 2–3 weeks ahead for these months. The hut suits smaller groups and serves as a quiet alternative to busier rifugios on the main Gran Paradiso or Monte Rosa circuits. Half-board (bed, dinner, breakfast) is the standard arrangement.
