Rifugio Laghi di Colbricon

Rifugio Laghi di Colbricon sits at 1,927m in the Lagorai range, above the Colbricon Lakes. You reach it from Passo Valles (1,520m) in 2.5 hours on a well-marked trail that climbs steadily northeast. The trail is rocky in sections but not technical. Most hikers approach from the Dolomites side via the Val di Fiemme region in Trentino. The hut stands on open terrain where you'll see the lakes spread below and ridge walks branching in all directions.
The hut has 40 beds split across smaller rooms. Half-board is standard: dinner and breakfast included with your bed, lunch available to buy. The kitchen serves regional Trentino cooking—expect simple, filling food. Water comes from the lakes. There's no electricity on-site, though some reports mention a small solar system for essentials. The hut operates June through September; July and August see school holiday crowds. Expect to share space and noise during peak weeks.
Book 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August. Contact the hut directly by phone or email before sending a deposit. Many groups book this hut as a stage on multi-day lake circuits. You can also do day walks from here without staying overnight—the trails to Passo Valles and surrounding lakes are accessible and worth your time.
