Rifugio Scoiattoli

Rifugio Scoiattoli sits at 2255m on the eastern flank of the Brenta Dolomites, accessible via the Val di Non approach from the north. Most parties reach the hut in 3–4 hours from Molveno or the surrounding valley villages. The final approach climbs steadily through mixed forest before breaking into alpine terrain. Trails from the hut connect directly to the Bocchette Occidentali and loop routes through the limestone peaks above.
The rifugio holds 42 beds across 10 private rooms and dormitory space. The guardian serves dinner and breakfast year-round, with a small bar for drinks and snacks during the day. The hut operates year-round and functions as a solid base for day hikes or as a staging point on multi-day ridge traverses. No WiFi—bring a book. Kitchen facilities are standard alpine standard; hot showers are available for a small fee.
