The lodge holds 100 beds across multiple rooms and serves as a base for day hikes into the surrounding Julian Alps. Meals are available on-site; book ahead if you need dinner. The hut operates year-round and staffs the bar and basic shop during opening hours. Hot water and basic washrooms are provided. This is working hut country—expect functional comfort rather than luxury.
Book by email or phone directly with the hut. Summer weekends (June–September) fill quickly; aim for 2–4 weeks' notice in peak season. Shoulder seasons (May, October) are less busy. The hut welcomes casual walk-ins outside summer, though calling ahead is sensible for meal preparation. Confirm opening hours before visiting in winter or early spring.
