Erjavčeva Hut

Erjavčeva Koča sits at 1,525m in the Julian Alps, well-positioned for day hikes and longer traverses across the range. The hut lies on the main walking route between Jesenice and the Karavanke, making it a logical overnight stop if you're heading towards Triglav or linking ridges. Approach from Jesenice takes 2–2.5 hours on a well-marked path. Winter access depends on snow conditions; check with the hut before planning a cold-season visit.
The PZS-managed hut sleeps 99 across dormitory rooms and private rooms. Meals are available at dinner and breakfast; order your evening meal when you arrive. The hut has heating, running water, and basic shower facilities. It's open year-round, though staffing varies outside peak season—ring ahead if you're visiting November to March. The location draws serious hikers rather than casual walkers; most guests are doing multi-day Alpine traverses.
