The lodge holds 66 beds across multiple rooms. It serves meals daily and stocks basic provisions. The hut operates year-round, though access during winter depends on road conditions at Vršič Pass. Water and toilet facilities are reliable. The staff speak Slovenian and basic English.
Book 2–3 months ahead for July and August weekends. Contact the hut directly by phone (+386 4 589 6310) or email. The PZS manages the hut, so membership in the Alpine Association provides discounts. Arrive early in the day if you're dropping in without a reservation—beds fill quickly on weekends. The hut is a working mountain crossing point, not a dead-end destination, so traffic through the building can be constant on good weather days.
