About
The hut is staffed year-round and offers beds, simple meals, and hot drinks. Capacity runs to around 30 people. The PZS (Planinska zveza Slovenije) maintains the hut and enforces standard Alpine hut protocols: book ahead for weekends and holidays, bring your own sleeping bag, and respect quiet hours. The kitchen prepares traditional Slovenian mountain food. Water comes from a reliable spring nearby. This is genuinely a working local hut, not a tourist destination—expect straightforward comfort and no frills.
Contact the hut directly by phone or email (details via the PZS hut registry) to book beds. July and August weekends fill quickly; book 2–3 weeks ahead for summer visits. May through September sees the most traffic, though the hut operates in lighter conditions through autumn. Winter access depends on snow conditions and requires enquiry beforehand.
