Shelter na Koradi

Zavetišče na Koradi sits at 802m on the slopes above the Savinja Valley in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Reach it on foot from the village of Korošica in 1.5 hours via a marked trail that climbs steadily through beech forest. The hut serves as a base for day hikes across the mid-elevation ridges of this range and connects to longer routes linking the main valley trails.
The shelter is a small, basic facility with capacity for around 15 people. It offers simple meals and drinks—expect traditional Slovenian fare rather than fine dining. The hut runs year-round, though weather in winter can be severe at this elevation and access may be affected by snow. There is no electricity or running water; conditions are alpine-simple. The PZS maintains the shelter as a working mountain refuge, not a resort.

Winter visits require checking conditions beforehand, as the shelter may be inaccessible or unmaintained during heavy snow.
