Domžalski Lodge na Mali Planini

Domžalski Dom sits at 1,540m on Mali Planina in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, a high pasture plateau that stands out for its open meadows and clear views across the range. The hut is 3–4 hours on foot from the village of Parc, on a well-marked trail that climbs steadily through beech and spruce forest before breaking into alpine grassland. Most hikers approach via Parc (accessible by car from Kamnik), though experienced walkers can reach Mali Planina from other valleys to the south and east.
The lodge is run by the Domžalski section of PZS (Planinska zveza Slovenije) and holds around 40 beds in simple shared and double rooms. It operates year-round, though winter visits require snow sense and proper equipment. The hut serves hot meals and drinks; half-board (bed and breakfast plus dinner) is standard practice. Water and power are reliable. The open plateau makes Mali Planina a base for short walks to viewpoints and ridge traverses toward Veliki Vrh and Kofce.
