Hut na Treh Plotih

Koča na Treh Plotih sits at 1,530m on the slopes of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, roughly midway between the villages of Luče and Solčava in central Slovenia. Most hikers approach from Luče village (about 2.5 hours) via the Savinja valley, or from Solčava (2.5 hours) via Logarska dolina. The hut functions as a base for exploring the surrounding ridges and peaks, including routes to Korošica (2,068m) and Turska gora (2,051m). The location works well for multi-day trips linking the Kamnik-Savinja range to other huts in the region.
The hut offers basic facilities: around 30 beds in simple rooms, a communal dining area, and hot meals served by the keeper. Water comes from a mountain spring. There's no electricity or mobile signal. The hut operates year-round, though winter visits require previous arrangement. You'll find a simple kitchen setup and basic heating. This is a working mountain hut, not a resort—expect clean, functional accommodation suited to serious hikers rather than comfort-seekers.
Contact the PZS (Planinska zveza Slovenije) for booking details, as the hut management operates through the national Alpine Association. Reserve at least 2–3 weeks ahead for weekends or the main hiking season (June–September). July and August see steady traffic; shoulder seasons (May, September, early October) offer more solitude with reliable weather windows. The keeper can advise on conditions for onward routes when you arrive.
