Planinski Lodge na Zasavski Sveti Gori

Planinski Dom na Zasavski Sveti Gori sits at 846m on Zasavska Sveta Gora in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The hut overlooks the Zagorje region and serves as a base for day walks through mixed forest and open ridgelines. Access from Zagorje na Slovenskem takes 1.5 hours uphill on a marked trail. Park at the village and follow the PZS waymarks. The hut is closer to lowland towns than most Alpine lodges, making it ideal for weekend hikers from Ljubljana who want easy access to mountain terrain.
The lodge has 30 beds in shared rooms and a small restaurant serving Slovenian mountain food. Meals are available to guests and day visitors. The hut operates year-round, though check conditions in winter as the exposed summit makes wind and snow a factor. Water comes from a spring and facilities are basic but clean. Most guests stay one night and hike onward or return to the valley the next day.
Book by phone directly with the hut keeper. Summer weekends (June to September) fill quickly—call 1–2 weeks ahead for Saturday stays. The hut is quiet on weekday visits. Winter stays require advance notice to ensure someone is present. PZS members receive a small discount on accommodation.
