Lodge na Bukovici

Dom na Bukovici sits at 584m in the lower Kamnik-Savinja Alps, making it an accessible basecamp for day hikes in this region. The hut stands near Bukovica village, roughly 90 minutes on foot from the nearby town of Kamnik. Most hikers approach via marked trails through mixed forest and open meadow. The location works well as a starting point for routes toward Krvavec (1,860m) or traverses across the easier ridges of the range.

The lodge provides simple accommodation and meals for walkers exploring these foothills. Capacity runs to around 30 beds in basic rooms. The hut serves hot food and drinks. Water is reliable. The hut typically operates year-round, though confirm opening dates before visiting, especially in winter. This is working farmland, so the atmosphere is rural rather than alpine. Facilities are basic but functional.
