Wormser Hut

Wormser Hütte sits at 2,307m in the Prättigau valley of Graubünden, on the main hiking route between Schesaplana and the surrounding ridgelines. Reach it from Schruns in the Montafon (Austria) via the Lünersee trail—allow 4 to 5 hours for the 1,100m ascent. From Switzerland, access via Sassella takes roughly the same time. The hut is well-positioned for day walks across high terrain and sits on established SAC hiking routes.
Wormser Hütte is run by DAV Sektion Worms (the German Alpine Club) and accommodates around 40 guests in basic dormitory bedding. Meals are simple but hearty: substantial dinners and breakfasts fuel long hiking days. Showers are available—a real advantage at this elevation. The hut operates year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions; confirm current status before heading up in December through February. Winter mountaineers often stop here when traversing the high ridges.

June, September and early October see steadier availability. Weekends fill faster than weekdays. The hut accepts cash payments and may require a deposit to confirm your reservation.
