Refuge Resegone

Rifugio Resegone sits at 1,265m on the slopes of Resegone, a limestone peak that dominates the Bergamo Alps above the Valle Imagna. The hut is reached from Fuipiano Valle Imagna village (about 600m elevation) via a steep 2.5-hour hike on waymarked trails. This is a working starting point for ridge walks and traverses across the Resegone massif, with direct access to summit scrambles and longer Alpine routes. The approach is relentless but straightforward.
The hut has 22 beds split across two private rooms and shared dormitories. CAI Valle Imagna manages it as a basic mountain refuge rather than a hotel—expect simple, clean accommodation. Meals are provided for residents: dinner and breakfast are standard offerings. There's no WiFi. The hut operates year-round but staffing and meal service depend on the season and advance bookings, so confirm availability before arriving. Water comes from a spring and the hut has mains electricity.

This refuge attracts serious walkers tackling the Resegone ridge, not casual visitors, so expect company on good-weather weekends.
