Cavardirashütte

Cavardirashütte sits at 2,649m on the eastern flank of the Gotthard massif in Uri. The standard approach is from Göschenen via the Göschener Reuss valley, taking 3.5 to 4 hours on a well-marked trail. Alternative routes exist from Tiefenbach and from Wassen, making the hut accessible from multiple directions. The location works well as a base for ridge traverses and glacier approaches across this corner of the Uri Alps.
The hut holds 70 beds across dormitory rooms. Meals are served daily (book ahead for dinner). A self-catering kitchen is available if you want flexibility, and drinking water comes from a spring source. The season runs from mid-June through mid-October, with stable staffing during July and August. Winter mountaineers occasionally use it outside these months on a self-catering basis—check current conditions before planning a winter visit.
