Chalet Refuge de Lognan

Refuge de Lognan sits at 2032m in the Val d'Anniviers, above the village of Grimentz. Reach it on foot from Grimentz in 1 hour 15 minutes via a well-marked trail through alpine meadows. The hut serves as a base for day hikes across the Anniviers region and lies on the crossing route to Zinal and Chandolin. From here you can reach Pointe de Nava (2815m) in 2 hours or traverse to Zinal in 3.5 hours.
The 50-bed hut offers dorm beds and a few private rooms. Meals are available: expect simple evening menus and hearty breakfasts. The kitchen supplies hot water for packed lunches. Basic facilities include pit toilets (no shower). The hut operates year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions. Phone ahead if you're arriving in poor weather—the staff can advise on trail conditions.
