Reach it from Wolfsberg in around 2.5 hours via the marked trail through mixed forest. The hut is also accessible from the Seethal side (approximately 3 hours) or from Deutschlandsberg to the south. The Koralpe's gentle, forested slopes make this a solid base for ridge walks and connections to other huts in the region, though not a high alpine location.
The OeAV-managed hut sleeps 23 people in simple dormitory rooms and a few doubles. The guardian serves hot meals and packed lunches. Water comes from a natural spring on the property.
