Goiserer Hut

Goiserer Hütte sits at 1,592m in the Goiserer Gruppe, accessible from Bad Goisern in the Salzkammergut region of Salzburg. Reach the hut from the village of Bad Goisern via the Goiserer Graben gorge—a scenic 2.5-hour hike gaining 650m vertically. The trail follows water channels and steep sections through forested terrain before opening onto alpine pasture near the hut. This is the main approach for most visitors. Alternative access exists from other starting points in the surrounding area, though the Bad Goisern route is most direct.

The hut offers 80 beds across multiple rooms and operates year-round, making it a reliable base for hiking and ski touring in winter. The OeAV Sektion Bad Goisern runs the facility with a full kitchen providing dinner and breakfast. The dining room has mountain views, and basic dormitory accommodation is standard. Water and toilet facilities are reliable. The hut staff can advise on local route conditions and help plan day hikes in the Goiserer Gruppe and toward neighboring peaks like the Sparber.
