About
The hut is a working mountain dairy and family-run guesthouse with 40 beds spread across dormitory and private rooms. The kitchen serves traditional Styrian meals at lunch and dinner; book your meal when you reserve. Facilities include hot showers, a small bar, and drying room for wet kit. The hut opens year-round but operates at reduced capacity November through March. Summer is the busiest season with families and hiking groups.
Book accommodation direct by phone or email at least 4 weeks ahead during July and August. The hut fills quickly on weekends in summer. Weekday stays in June and September are easier to arrange. Winter visits are possible but confirm opening status first as weather can force closures. The hut is affiliated with the Austrian Alpine Club (OeAV) and accepts their membership benefits.
