Berghütte Arztal sits at 1,890m in the Zillertal, deep in the Tuxer Alps. Reach it from the village of Mayrhofen via the Zillertal road. From the Stillup car park at 1,050m, follow the Stillupbach stream for 9km to the hut—allow 3.5 hours on foot. Mountain bikers can cycle most of this route in dry conditions. The hut serves as a base for the Zillertal 3000 traverse and acclimatization climbs to peaks above 3,000m on the massif's eastern edge.
The hut has 23 beds split across several rooms, mostly doubles and triples. Hot water is available, and showers are included. The Austrian Alpine Club (OeAV) manages the hut.
