Kleblealm

Kleblealm sits at 2,015m in the Zillertal valley of Tyrol, surrounded by pasture and accessible year-round for hikers. The hut lies on the main walking route between the valley floor and higher peaks, making it a natural lunch stop or overnight base. Reach it from the Zillertal road in roughly 2–2.5 hours on foot, depending on your starting point and fitness. The trail is well-marked and gains elevation steadily but without technical difficulty.
The hut is a working alpine dairy farm as well as a mountain restaurant, so expect simple, hearty cooking. It sleeps around 20 people in basic shared rooms and serves meals from mid-morning through early evening. Toilets are basic but functional. The hut operates year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions—phone ahead if you're planning a winter visit. Hot meals, drinks, and local dairy products are available daily; bring a sleeping bag liner as bedding is provided. Showers are not available; wash-ups are basic.
Book by phone directly with the hut. July and August fill quickly on weekends; aim to call at least one week ahead during peak season. Outside summer months, same-day booking is usually possible. The hut management speaks German and basic English. Arrive early if you're planning to eat lunch there—they close the kitchen by late afternoon.
