Kürsingerhütte

Kürsingerhütte sits at 2,558m on the southern flank of the Zillertal Alps in Tyrol. The standard approach from Mayrhofen takes 4 hours, climbing steadily through forest then alpine meadow to reach the hut. Alternative access routes exist from the Zillertal valley floor depending on which trailhead you choose—allow 5 to 6 hours from lower starting points. The hut serves as a solid base for ridge walks and peak ascents across the range.

The hut sleeps 150 guests in mixed and private rooms. Showers are available, though hot water is limited during peak periods so plan accordingly. Half-board is the standard arrangement: expect hearty evening meals and a breakfast spread suitable for early starts. The kitchen caters well to vegetarian diets. Opening runs from June through September; shoulder-season conditions in May and early October can be unsettled. Hut staff speak German and English.

Book directly for July and August visits—contact them 6 months in advance as capacity fills quickly during school holidays. June, September, and early October remain more flexible.
