About
DAV manages the hut and maintains 84 beds across shared rooms. Full meals and packed lunches are available. The kitchen serves hearty Alpine fare. Showers are available, which is excellent for a hut at this elevation. The hut runs year-round, though winter access depends on snow conditions and avalanche risk—check conditions before committing to a winter visit. The building is well-maintained and the atmosphere is serious and working-focused rather than touristy.
Book directly with the hut by email or phone. July and August fill 4–6 weeks ahead. June and September are less crowded but still busy on weekends. Outside summer, you can usually book with a few days' notice. Confirm current opening dates and conditions before travel, especially in shoulder seasons.
