Langesbergalm

Langesbergalm sits at 1540m on the western slopes of the Zillertal, roughly 90 minutes walk from the village of Zell am Ziller. The approach is straightforward: take the road toward Zillertal Süd, park at Zell am Ziller, and follow marked trails through mixed forest that opens onto alpine meadows. The hut is accessible year-round via this hiking route, making it one of the easier alm visits in the valley.

The alm is a working dairy farm first, mountain hospitality second. It operates as a simple Jausenhütte serving snacks, local cheese, and drinks—don't expect a full kitchen menu. The alm has basic seating inside and outside on the terrace, with views back down the Zillertal. Capacity is modest; it's built for day visitors and hikers passing through rather than overnight stays. Opening times and seasonal variations depend on the dairy operation, so check conditions before planning a longer walk that relies on stopping here.
