Oberreintalhütte

Oberreintalhütte sits at 1525m in the Ötztal, reachable from Längenfeld via the Ötztal road. Most hikers walk up from Oetz or the smaller villages to the south; allow 2.5 to 3 hours from the valley floor. The hut is well-positioned for day walks around the Ötztal and multi-day tours connecting to higher alpine huts. This is a working hut in accessible terrain, not a high-altitude refuge.
The DAV Sektion Garmisch-Partenkirchen manages the hut and runs it as a proper mountain hut with 40 beds in shared rooms. The kitchen serves hearty evening meals and breakfast; book your evening meal when you reserve. There's no shower, so bring a quick-dry towel if you need to freshen up. The season runs from May through October, closing in winter. Staffing varies by season, so confirm opening dates before you go.
Book by phone directly with the hut to guarantee a bed, especially at weekends. July and August are busiest; plan ahead or expect to be turned away. Outside peak season, a day or two notice usually suffices. The hut fills with local hikers and Austrian groups on weekends, so midweek stays are quieter.
